Do weights come with the vest?
CANINE WEIGHT SET® uses sand or bb filled clear bags as weights. The bags are removable and can be inserted into pouches on the outside of the vest. The bags are clear and you can add up to as much as needed according to strength of your pet. SAND NOT INCLUDED ONLY THE BAGS THAT HOLD THE SAND – SAND & BBs SOLD SEPARATELY (ADD WATER TO SAND MAKES IT MORE DENSE AND HEAVIER) We do not uses metal bar weights as they can be more dangerous and can cause injury to your dog if fallen or landing incorrectly. Bar weights can cause more pressure on your dog and most importantly don’t couture with your dog’s body during movement like sand does. Using bb’s are heavier but more like the sand affect.
How much additional weight does the vest weigh when the bags are fully loaded?
The weight vest was designed to add an additional 25%-35% of your dog’s body weight. When the vest is fully loaded expect the results below.

We do not recommend adding any weights to a vest if your dog is expected to swim or jumping in water. Please monitor your dog at all times if wearing a vest in water.
